APPLICATION FOR: Coverack Coastal Defence Project

Notice is hereby given that Cormac on behalf of Cornwall Council, West Building, Central Group Centre, Castle Canyke Road, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 1DZ, has applied to Marine Management Organisation, (“MMO”) for a marine licence to carry out a regulated activity under the Marine and Coastal Act 2009. The project requires an environmental impact assessment (“EIA”) consent and is subject to the requirement for an EIA under the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007 (“the EIA Regulations”). An environmental statement has been prepared by the applicant.

The application is to construct a new 87m long coastal sea defence to reduce coastal erosion.

A copy of the application, environmental statement and other documents required by the EIA Regulations is also available for public inspection, free of charge, Monday and Thursday 2pm-4pm at Coverack Post Office, St Peters Hall, Coverack, Helston TR12 6TE until Monday 10 January 2022.
